Usage

Use this window to create, modify and view the function structure for a specific model. The function structure contains connections to parts and documents. The window is directly linked to Information Holder on the right hand side, which is used to manipulate the components in the graphical structure and component related information.

Components

This window contains:

Root Node: The product and model identification. This dummy node permanently exists for all product models. It shows the product number, and the model number. Information Holder will contain: Functions, Function List, Model Part Contents, Parts, Fault Codes, Template Structure, Zones and Access Panel. Function list has the same descriptions and functionality of Functions except it lists all the functions within the Product Model. However, the new functions added here are only added to the root node as in Functions.

This window may dynamically contain the following nodes:

Function Node: The function identification. Function nodes exist as a child only to root node or to another function. One function exists only once in the tree structure for a particular product model. To add a function to the structure, select a root node or another function node and from the functions tab in the Information Holder, insert a new function. Information Holder will contain: General, Functions, Characteristics, Fault Codes and Template Structure.

Part Group Node: The part group. This is used to house one or more part nodes as a group. Part group node exists as a child only to a function node. To insert a Part group right-click and click Add, then select the Parts menu option. and is only possible when there are no part nodes already attached. Information Holder will contain: Parts.

Part Node: The part identification. This node exists as a child only to a part group node. Information Holder will contain: Revision, Engineering Part, Consist Of, Where Used, Multilevel, Characteristics, Document Req. and Change Request.

Document Group Node: The document group. This is used to house one or more document nodes as a group. Document node exists as a child only to a function node. To insert a Document group right-click and click Add, then select the Documents menu option. Inserting a Document group is only possible when there are no document nodes already attached. Information Holder will contain: Documents.

Document Node: The document identification. This node exists as a child only to a document group node. Information Holder will contain: General.
