Suspend Work Order
Explanation
This activity is used to suspend a mobile work order. This is done when you
need to stop working on the work order for a longer period of time. For example,
if you don't have the required material on hand and need to get it from the
warehouse. When a work order is suspended, it is moved back to the assignment
stage and you will need to restart the work flow. All recorded actions, e.g.,
time, material, tools-and-facilities will be retained on the work order.
Prerequisites
- The work order should exist on the mobile device running IFS Mobile Work
Order.
- The work order should be started or set on route.
- A reason code must be defined in basic data, for use when suspending a
work order.
- For automatic time transaction creation (if this is set up in the
security configuration), a default craft and a default travel craft should be
defined for the employee/mobile user.
- If surveys are to be used in the work order flow, the work order
integration should be defined for the survey in IFS Human Resources.
System Effects
- The work order is set to the Accepted status.
- If the work order was previously on route, the automatic travel time
transaction (if this is set up in the security configuration) is updated on
the work order.
- If the work order was started, the automatic work time transaction (if
this is set up in the security configuration) is updated on the work order.
- A journal entry is created on the mobile work order.
