Release Work Order to B2B Contractor

Explanation

This activity is used to enter a contractor for a work order. This is an alternate activity than can be performed instead of inviting the contractor to bid for a tender. It is used in order to indicate that the Business-to-Business (B2B) contractor will be working on this work order.

Prerequisites

• A work order which has not been released should exist.

System Effects

The work order is released and displayed in the B2B interface of the users connected to the selected contractor.

Procedure

1. Open the Prepare Work Order or Report in Route Work Order (for a route work order) window.
2. Query for the work order. (F3)
3. Click the Prepare tab in the Prepare Work Order window or the General tab of the Report in Route Work Order window.
4. Enter a contractor in the Contractor field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
5. Save the record.
6. Right-click, point to Work Order Status and then click Released.
