Perform Condition Measurements
Explanation
This activity is used to record condition measurements
on a work order operation. During execution of a scheduled maintenance it is
possible to find abnormalities, such as, measurements that are outside the defined
condition limits. When such measurements are found, you can use the
functionality described in this activity to record the new measurements and
initiate corrective action. When a measure value that is outside any of the
defined condition limits is recorded, a maintenance task is created and added
automatically to the work package (maintenance order) for the ongoing work
scope.
Note: If condition measurement requirements exist on an
operation these measurements must be performed before the operation can be
completed.
Prerequisites
- The work order operation must exist in either the
Released or Started status.
- Condition measurement requirements must be defined
on the operation, i.e., the Condition Measurement Required check box
must be selected on the operation line.
- Condition limits must have been defined for the
serial connected to the work order operation.
System Effects
- Condition measurements are recorded on the work
order operation. This information can be viewed in the Condition Meas.
subtab.
- The Condition Measurement Performed check
box will be selected on the operation line.
- If the measurement is outside the defined limits,
a maintenance task is generated for it. The task will be added automatically
to the maintenance order for the ongoing work scope.
- The condition measurements reported on the operation will be transferred
automatically to IFS/Vehicle Information Management and a history record will be
generated.
