Define Tool/Equipment Type

Explanation

In this activity you can enter Tool/Equipment types. The types are available across sites and are used to group and classify objects in the tool/equipment registry.

As a result of this activity a Tool/Equipment type is defined in the system. The Tool/Equipment type is now available to use for grouping when defining assets in the the tool/equipment registry.

Procedure

1. Open the Tool/Equipment Types window.
2. Create a new record.
3. Enter the Tool/Equipment Type. You can use a maximum of 25 alphanumeric characters. Note that the value cannot be changed after saving the record.
4. Enter a description with a maximum of 200 characters.
5. Optionally, enter a value in the Item Class field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
6. Save your record.
