Report Picking

Explanation

When you handle customer orders and shipments with stored sales parts, they need to be reserved and picked on a specific inventory location. Whenever the parts are picked, the packing staff should enter what, how much, and from which inventory location they have picked the parts for each specific order or shipment.

The picking is reported in the Report Picking of Pick Lists window. Confirm the picking by using the Report Picking right mouse button option. This option is also available per shipment in the Shipment and the Shipments windows.

In case the quantity or location of the parts differs from what is stated on the pick list, the report should be entered in the Report Picking of Pick List Lines window. This window is available in the shipment via the Report Picking of Pick List Lines right mouse button option.

In case one or several of the parts to be picked are serial tracked at receipt and issue but not serial tracked in inventory or catch unit handled, the report should be entered in the Report Picking of Pick List Lines window.

If you no longer want to deliver the entire quantity picked, it is possible to change this in the Deliver Customer Order with Differences window for lines not connected to any shipment. Query for the order in question, right-click on the line and then click Make Changes in Delivery of Single Parts or Make Changes in Delivery of Pallets. In the dialog box that appears, enter the required quantity to deliver in the Qty to Deliver column. Click OK, right click on the line and then click Deliver Inventory Parts. Click OK in the dialog box that is displayed. This means that the quantity is no longer reserved. For a shipment, if you no longer want to deliver the entire quantity picked, it is possible to adjust the picked quantity before delivery in four different ways: removal of shipment lines, reassignment of shipment line quantities, reassignment of handling units, or adjustments in the shipment inventory. This means that the content of the shipment is changed and the handling unit structure and the documents must be reviewed again before delivery.

Prerequisites

The customer order line(s) and shipment line(s) must have been reserved.
A pick list must have been generated and printed.
For picking to be reported automatically via a shipment, the shipment type must have been defined accordingly.

System Effects

The customer order line(s) and shipment line(s) will be reported as picked.
For order lines connected to a shipment, the next event in the shipment flow will be triggered if the shipment type allows this. Any optional events defined to be executed at report picking in the shipment flow, will be triggered.
If you use a shipment inventory, a dialog box is visible after the confirmation of the report. The dialog box suggests a shipment location as a default value. If you have access to several shipment locations, you can select a shipment location other than proposed.

Procedure

Search for the desired pick list(s) via the Populate or Query function.
Select the pick list(s) you wish to report. Right-click and then click Report Picking.
A message box informs you that the selected pick list will be pick reported. Confirm by clicking OK.
If the parts are to be delivered into a shipment location, a dialog box displays an inventory as default value. If you approve this location, confirm by clicking OK. However, if you have access to several shipment locations and wish to place the part in another location, click on the list box to view a list of all existing shipment locations. You can change an inventory by marking it and confirming the transaction via the OK button.

To report picking via a shipment:

Open the Shipment window or the Shipments window.
Search for the shipment for which you want to report picking.
In the shipment header, right-click and then click Report Picking.

Note that report picking via a shipment can be done automatically in the shipment flow if the shipment type allows this.
