Modify View Of Structure

Explanation

This activity is used to modify the view of the handling unit structure. You can either expand, collapse, set as root, and reset as root on different levels in the structure. You can also make modifications to the automatically created handling unit structure by adding, deleting, or moving handling units within the structure as desired.

You should note that whenever changes are made to the structure, it is important to reprint shipment documents and labels. This will therefore ensure, correct shipment documents and labels that include information based on the changed structure. 

Prerequisites

• A handling unit structure must have been created.

Procedure

1. Query for a specific shipment ID.
2. Click the Handling Unit Structure tab to view the handling unit structure details.
3. Expand the shipment ID by selecting it. 

Modify structure on handling unit level connected to shipment:

1. To add a handling unit, right-click on the shipment ID and then click Add Handling Unit(s).
2. Click New, to activate a new row.
3. Enter a handling unit type or select a suitable value from the List of Values. The name of the handling unit type appears automatically.
4. Enter the number of units for the handling unit type.
5. Click OK to save the row.
6. To delete a handling unit, select the specific handling unit you want to delete.
7. Right-click on the handling unit and then click Delete Handling Unit. 

Modify structure on handling unit sub-level:

1. Expand the handling unit to view all handling units added to that handling unit.
2. To add a handling unit, right-click on the parent handling unit and then click Add Handling Unit(s).
3. Click New, to activate a new row.
4. Enter a handling unit type or select a suitable value from the List of Values. The name of the handling unit type appears automatically.
5. Enter the number of units for the handling unit type.
6. Click OK to save the row.
7. To delete a handling unit, right-click on the handling unit and then click Delete Handling Unit.
8. To move a handling unit, drag the handling unit to the preferred handling unit folder.

Note: When moving handling units within the handling unit structure, handling units with different contents cannot be placed on a homogeneous handling unit.
