Enter Objects

Explanation

Use this activity to add objects and object structures that the service line is applicable to.

Prerequisites

• Equipment objects should be defined in IFS/Equipment Administration.
• Geographical objects and category objects should be defined in IFS/Equipment Administration.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, objects will be defined to the service line.

Procedure

1. Open the Service Contract window and query for a record (F3).
2. Click the Services tab and select a service line.
3. Click the Objects tab to enter objects and object structures that is the service line applicable to.
4. Select the connection type of the object you wish to add to the service line in the Connection Type field.
5. Next enter the relevant object identity based on the connection type.
6. If the entered object has an object structure, Has Structure check box is automatically selected. Click Use Line on Structure if the service line should be applicable to all child objects.
7. Enter values in the following fields based on the connection type and/or object identity:

• If Connection Type = CATEGORY, enter the quantity of objects covered by the service line in the Quantity field and the location of the objects in the Location ID field if applicable.
•  If Connection Type = EQUIPMENT enter the location of the object in the Location ID field if applicable.

8. Save the information (F12).
