Free Text Search

Explanation

This activity is used to search for documents containing specific information. The Text Search component is used to do the search. The Advanced search type is used. This uses the search string exactly as it is written, so that advanced queries using Oracle Text query language can be done, for example, a search string with AND operator, for example, pipe and leakage, will only find result items including both the words. A search string with OR operator, for example, pipe or leakage,  will find result items including any of the two words. The search can be performed on the attributes of the document (the meta data such as document title, revision etc), on the contents of the document file, or on object connections of the document.

The Text Search documentation provides further information on performing searches.
