Update Part Based Sales Price Lists

Explanation

This activity is used to update part based sales price lists. When base prices are updated, it is also necessary to update the sales price lists.

There are three methods for updating sales price.

It is also possible to specify exactly which prices will be updated. This can be done by entering price list number, part number, base price site, and/or sales price group and price type.

Procedure

  1. Open the Update Sales Price from Base Prices dialog box. Alternatively, you can populate or query for base prices in the Sales Part Base Price or Sales Part Rental Base Prices windows, and right-click, then click Update Sales Price Lists from Base Prices.
  2. Select one of the update price lists based on options: Costing pricing, Manual pricing, or Manual and Costing pricing. Note that for rental prices only Manual pricing option is valid.
  3. Enter a valid start date in the Valid From field to indicate when the new prices will first be valid.
  4. Choose if the job will be run online or as a batch job by selecting either the Online or the Background job option.
  5. Specify the type of prices to update, sales prices and/or rental prices.
  6. Specify which prices will be updated. You can specify for which price list number, owning company, part number, base price sites, or price groups the price lists will be updated. Enter the short code for the price list number, owning company, part number, base price sites, and sales price groups or use the List of Values. Use '%' to update more than one price list number, owning company, part number, base price sites and sales price group.
  7. Click OK to update the price lists.
