Send Sales Price List

Explanation

This activity is used to send a sales price list to one or several customers via either EDI or MHS.

Note that rental prices are not supported for this functionality.

Prerequisites

• The price group type of the price list must be part-based.
• The customers receiving the price list must be defined to accept PRICAT messages using either EDI or MHS.
• The user must have access to the owning company of the sales price list or at least one user site on the sales price list.
• Part based sales price list lines must be in the Active status in order to be sent.

System Effects

When this activity is performed, an EDI/MHS message of PRICAT type is sent to the selected customer(s). The system sends you a warning if you attempt to send a copy of the same price list to the customer again.

Procedure

1. Query or populate for the sales price list that is to be sent. If you are performing this in the Sales Price Lists window, mark the line for the price list.
2. Right-click and then click Choose Send Sales Price List. The Send Sales Price List dialog box appears.
3. Select EDI or MHS in the Media Code field, depending on which method is going to be used.
4. In the Valid From field, enter the date from which the price list is valid. If you only want to send prices for a limited time period enter a date in the Valid To field. (In this case only the prices valid between the two dates are sent.)
5. In the Receiver(s) table, select the customer to whom the price list should be sent. Start by selecting New and then entering either the short code for the customer; alternatively, you can use the List button.
6. Repeat step 5 for all customers.
7. Click OK.
