Enter Print Code

Explanation

Use this activity to view, modify or create templates for external printouts for package parts and order line options. You can choose whether or not the components of a package part and order line options will be displayed on the printouts. You can also choose to what extent configuration details and price information will be printed.

There are no prerequisites.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• A print code is specified.
• The print code is available in the List of Values in other windows, e.g., Customer Order, Package Part, Customer.
• The print code can be selected in the Parameters for Distribution and Manufacturing window to replace the default print code.
• The print code will determine whether or not package part component details will appear on specific printouts.
• The print code will determine whether or not configuration details and price information are included on the printouts.

Procedure

1. Open the Sales Basic Data window.
2. Click the Print Controls tab, then select New.
3. Using up to 10 alphanumeric characters, enter the ID for the printout control code in the Printout Control Code field.
4. Enter the description of the printout control code in the Description field.
5. Save the record.
6. The default print control code values will automatically fill the table area.
7. For each of the displayed report printouts, in the Characteristic field, use the List of Values to indicate whether the component parts and order line options should be displayed.
8. In the Print Configuration field, select the option to determine what configuration details and price information should be displayed/printed.
9. Repeat steps 7 to 8 to change the parameters for any of the other report printouts.
10. Save the record.
