Define Date Exceptions

Explanation

This activity is used to define date exceptions. In case there are periods for which a rental line shall not be charged, e.g., during a holiday shutdown, the date exceptions basic data can be used to define dates for which no charging will take place. The date exception record allows you to define a list of exception dates for which no charging will take place. The date exception ID can then be linked to a rental line to affect transaction generation for that line.

It is possible to define a date exception ID to be used by default on a given Site. By defining such a default value, the selected chargeable days ID will be used by default on any newly created rental lines for that site, but it can still be overridden on each individual rental line by the user.

Prerequisites

None.

System Effects

By connecting a date Exception ID to a rental line, rental transactions will not be generated for any dates included in the date exception basic data for that ID.
