Calculate Acceptance Sampling Plan for Attributes

Explanation

Use this activity to simulate the result of a certain set of acceptance sampling values and a lot size.

Prerequisites

A control plan with at least one attributes data point that uses acceptance sampling must exist.

Procedure

1. Query for the Control Plan for which you want to calculate the acceptance sampling plan in the Control Plan - Manufacturing or Control Plan - Purchasing window.
2. Right-click, then click Acceptance Sampling Plan Calculator.
3. Enter or select a standard in the Standard list.
4. Enter or select a sampling plan in the Sampling Plan list.
5. If the sampling plan is double, click one of the options under Sample.
6. Enter or select an inspection level in the Inspection Level list.
7. Enter a value for Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL) in the AQL field.
8. Enter or select a value for inspection in the Inspection list.
9. Enter a lot size in the Lot Size field.
10. Click Calculate.
11. Review the resulting values for code letter, sample size, acceptance number (Ac) and rejection number (Re).
12. If you want to calculate with new values, repeat steps 3-11. No changes are made to the control plan.
