Using IFS/Quality Management, you can define some of the events triggered by the event server. The set up for these events can be done in IFS/Solution Manager. For example, when an event occurs, an e-mail or SMS can be sent to a predefined person. The following events are defined:
One or more predefined alarm rules can be activated for a control chart. If an alarm rule violation occurs for at least one of the activated alarm rules, one or more events in the event server are triggered.
When you select the Complete Registered Result right mouse button option in any of the available analysis result windows (e.g.: Analysis Results - Shop Order), an event in the event server is triggered.

One or many predefined trigger types can be connected to one or many data points. When a trigger type creates an analysis automatically, the corresponding event in the event server is triggered.
A sample frequency schedule is defined and connected to the data points in the Control Plan - Inventory. When an analysis is created as defined by the schedule, an event in the event server is triggered.
