Register Resource Group

Explanation

Perform this activity when you want to add a new resource group to the system. All resources you use must be defined as resource groups within each company. A typical resource group can be electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, carpenter, plants, machines, etc. You can also think of the resource group as one person. Each resource group has a capacity and a cost. Both capacity and cost can change over time and you are able to add infinite different capacities and costs divided by dates. 

If you are using Primavera Project Planner, you should remember that only six resource capacities/costs per resource group can be exported to Primavera.

Procedure

  1. Create a new record and add resource identification and description.
  2. Select company, resource category and calendar (Be sure the calendar covers the entire project period.)
  3. Add capacity and cost data. At least one record, for both capacity and cost, should be entered covering the entire project period.
  4. Save the changes.
