Define Cost Element Code Part Demands on Project

Explanation

This activity is used to define a set of project-specific code parts that are to be used in budgeting against each cost element. By selecting a code part against a cost element, it makes that code part mandatory in forecast lines, for that cost element.

Prerequisites

• Cost elements should be defined on the user's company in the Project Cost/Revenue Elements window.
• Cost elements code part demands must be predefined on a company template in Project Basic/Cost Element Code Part Demand tab.

System Effects

• Changes done on this tab will affect only the project on which the settings have been defined.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to define project-specific code part demands on a cost element:

1. Open the Project window, and Query for project on which the cost element code part demands have to be defined.
2. Click on the PCE Code Part tab.
3. Click on a row in the table and click New (F5) to create a new record.
4. In the Cost Element field, use the List of Values to select a cost element that is has been for the particular company.
5. Select the check boxes of the desired code parts.
6. Click Save.
