Connect/Disconnect Contract Change Orders

Explanation

Use this activity to connect contract change order forecasts to a budget/forecast version.

Prerequisites

•  A contract change order with a contract change order forecast should exist for the project.

System Effects

• An existing contract change order forecast is connected to the selected budget/forecast version and the ETC Contract Change Order column will be added to the list of project forecast lines.
• If it is a disconnection: The existing contract change order forecast is disconnected from the selected budget/forecast version. When all the connections are disconnected from the selected budget/forecast the ETC Contract Change Order column will be removed from the list of project forecast lines.
• When using update, all the values in the ETC Contract Change Order column in the project forecast lines will be recalculated for the contract change order forecast.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to connect a contract change order forecast to the selected budget/forecast version:

1. Open the Project Forecast window, query for the project budget/forecast version for which you want to connect a contract change order forecast.
2. Right click on the window, click Forecast Connection. The dialog box opens up.
3. Select the Contract Change Orders tab.
4. Click New to enter a new line.
5. In the Change Order No field, use the List button to select a previously created contract change order forecast that you want to connect to the selected budget/forecast version.
6. Click OK.

Note. Alternatively, it is also possible to use Select Batch to select more than one contract change order forecast.

Use the following procedure to disconnect a contract change order forecast from a selected budget/forecast version:

1. Open the Project Forecast window, query for the project budget/forecast version from which you want to disconnect the contract change order forecast. 
2. Right click on the window, click the Forecast Connection menu option. The Forecast Connection dialog box will open.
3. Select the Contract Change Orders tab.
4. Select the required row and click Remove.
5. Click OK.

Use the following procedure to update a contract change order forecast in a selected budget/forecast version:

1. Open the Project Forecast window, query for the project budget/forecast version for which you want to update the contract change order forecast. 
2. Right click on the window, and click Forecast Connection. The dialog box opens up.
3. Select the Contract Change Orders tab.
4. Select a row and click Update.
5. Click OK.
