Set Execution Logic Structure Template Obsolete

Explanation

This activity is used to set an execution logic structure (ELS) template obsolete. When a grouping ID is no longer valid to be used on a maintenance order to create execution logic structures (ELSs), it should be set obsolete.

Note: If for some reason an obsolete ELS template needs to be activated, you can use the Reactivate option under the Status feature.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, an ELS template which is in the Active status and which is not in use on a maintenance order must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the grouping ID will be set obsolete and the ELS template cannot be connected to maintenance orders.

Procedure

1. Open the Define Execution Logic Structure Template window and search for the necessary grouping ID.
2. Right-click on the header of the window, point to Status, and then click Set Obsolete.
3. A message appears requiring confirmation of the step. Click Yes to set the template obsolete.
