Update Top Level Date
Explanation
Use this activity to update the revised due date on the top DOP order to be
equal to
the demand date on the DOP header. The revised start date on the top DOP order will also
be updated due to the lead-time of the part which is based on current routing and
the quantity. If the top DOP order has supply orders, you can specify whether or not
the due date of the supply orders should be automatically adjusted.
Prerequisites
This activity requires, that a DOP structure to be generated for a DOP header.
System Effects
- The revised due date and revised start date are updated on
the top DOP order.
- If any time alarms exist due to a date
mismatch, they will be resolved.
- The due date for the supply orders of the top DOP order
are automatically adjusted when specified. Otherwise a time alarm is generated
for the date mismatch between the DOP order and the supply order.

Procedure
- Select the DOP ID for which you want to update the revised due date on the top DOP
order.
- Right-click and then click Update Top Level Date.
- If pegged supplies exist for the DOP top
part, a message appears requesting whether an automatic update for
the supply should occur.
If you choose not to update the due date on the
pegged order, a time alarm will be generated.
- After updating the top level date, you can
propagate the date change all the way down the structure by using the Propagate
Date Upstream right mouse button option.
