Propagate Date Downstream

Explanation

This activity is used to propagate dates downstream in a DOP structure. The dates on higher levels in the DOP structure change with respect to the due date on the DOP Order on which you perform the command and the lead time offset.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the parent DOP Order has not reached the Released state.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The revised due and start dates on higher levels in the DOP structure are changed based on the revised due date of the DOP Order, the lead time offset of the DOP Order, and the lead time of the parent DOP Order part.
• The lead-time is calculated due to the lot size and the routing revision and alternative for the parent DOP Order. The Due Date in the Demand area on the DOP Header/Detail tab is the same as the revised due date on the top DOP Order.

Procedure

1. Select the DOP Order from which to start a downstream propagation of dates.
2. Right-click and point to Propagate Date/Quantity, then click Propagate Date Downstream.

From the graphical object structure (DOP Order/Tree Structure or DOP Header/DOP Structure):

1. Select the DOP Order from which to start a downstream propagation of dates.
2. Right-click on the selected DOP Order object, point to Propagate Date/Quantity and then click Propagate Date Downstream.
