Update Connected PM Actions

Explanation

This activity is used to update standard jobs on PM actions when the standard job is changed. To do so right-click on the relevant standard job in the Standard Jobs, Separate Standard Job or Route Standard Job windows and click Update Connected PM Actions. The right-mouse-button options will only be available for revision control disabled active standard job revisions.

It is possible to view a summary of the registered separate and route PM actions that have connections to updated standard jobs from PM Actions for Standard Jobs window.

Prerequisites

• A connection between the standard job revision and the PM action must exist.
• Revision control should be disabled on the updated standard job.
• An active revision must exist in the system.
• The connected PM action must be in the Preliminary or Active status. 

System Effects

• If the updated standard job revision is connected to a PM action which is in Preliminary status, this PM action will be updated with the active standard job revision.
• If the updated standard job revision is connected to a PM action which is in Active status, a new revision of the PM action will be created with the active standard job revision. This is done automatically unless there are exceptions, e.g., the revision number of the PM action is a non-numeric value or preliminary PM actions exist. For such PM actions you need to manually create a new revision of the PM action and make the connection to the active standard job.

Procedure

1. Open either the Separate Standard Job or Route Standard Job windows and query for an active revision (F3).
2. Right-click and then click Update Connected PM Actions (This option will be available only when an Revision control is disabled on standard job).
