Matrix position structure reflects the chain of authority within the matrix organization. Highest ranking positions are placed at the top, with subordinate positions placed beneath their respective superiors.
Matrix positions can be assigned to employees from multiple companies, provided that those employees belong to a matrix organization structure.
Employees can be assigned to positions from both company and matrix structures at the same time.
A matrix position structure is inseparably coupled with the corresponding organization structure via a shared Matrix Structure ID. Because of that, when you assign someone a position, it can be done only if an employee belongs to the matrix organization structure.
