Close Flight Log
Explanation
This activity is used to close a flight log. When all
information pertaining to the flight log has been entered, the log should be set
to the Closed status. Once the flight log is closed operational loggings
that have been entered on the flights will be spread on the serial and its
structure. If tasks have been finished for serials in the structure after the
takeoff time of the first flight, operational parameter values of these tasks
may need to be adjusted. This can be done using the options available in the
Retrospective Logging Options area.
Prerequisites
To perform this activity, the flight log must have been
defined.
System Effects
- The flight log is set to the Closed status.
- Operational loggings entered on the flights will
be added to the operational log of the vehicle.
- If operational parameters exist without any
measure data, these operational parameter records will be removed from the
flight log. This prevents storage of unnecessary and unused data.
- The closed flight log will be moved to history by
a background job after the number of days defined in basic data is reached.
For more information on how to set up the number of days voided and closed
flight log records are to remain in the flight log, refer to the Define Operator Information per Owner Organization
activity.
- When a flight log is moved to history, each flight
reported against a valid operational event for an operational plan will
result in the operational event being moved to the Operational Planning
History as well.
