Search in IFS Window

Explanation

Use this activity to find business objects in IFS windows such as linear assets, work orders, and support cases. Secondly, navigate with those business objects to GIS Map window.

It's also possible to search in GIS Connection window and navigate to GIS Map. However, this window is mainly used by system administrators and is limited to only show internal key information.

Procedure

Search by using business object's window in IFS:

1. Open the business object's window and enter a search criteria.
2. Click Search.

Or

Search by using GIS Connections window:

1. Open GIS Connections window and search by using IFS ID, LU Name and Key Reference information.
2. Click Search.

The next step is to select records and to navigate with them to be shown in GIS Map window. This is further described in an activity called Navigate from IFS Window to GIS Map.
