Explanation
This activity is used to configure Actions in Object Information
dialog. This task should be performed by a
system administrator or equivalent person.
Prerequisites
Logical units (LU) should have been defined with value GisintConnections as a service
name in
Solution Manager/Configuration/Object Connections. This enables LU to
be shown and selected from List of Value in GIS Object Configuration
window.
System Effects
Actions are added in Object Information dialog in one of the
following places:
- In section called Actions.
- On fields.
- In both section called Actions and on fields.

Procedure
- Open the GIS Object Configuration window.
- Select the relevant LU.
- Go to Actions tab and click New.
- Enter a Action Name. The entered text will be shown in
Object Information dialog.
- Enter a Window Name. This should be the name for the window or
dialog which should open when you click on the action in Object
Information dialog.
- Add Parameters for the target window/dialog. Refer to the
document About GIS Map
for detailed information about parameters.
- Select one option in the Show As list. This controls where the
action should be available in Object Information dialog:
- The option Action will show the action in the section called
Actions.
- The option Link will enable a field to be used as an action.
(This requires additional configuration in Fields tab.)
- The option Link and Action will enable both the above, show the
action in the section called Actions and enable a field to be used as
action.
- Add value for Display Order to order the list of actions in
Object
Information dialog.
- Click Save.
Additional configuration is required in Fields tab for
actions created with the Link option:
- Go to Fields tab.
- Select a field where the created action is valid
- Open List of Value for Display as Action Link ID.
- Select action.
- Click Save.
