Configuration of Relations

Explanation

This activity is used to configure relations to be shown in Object Information dialog. This task should be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

Prerequisites

Logical units (LU) should have been defined with value GisintConnections as a service name in Solution Manager/Configuration/Object Connections. This enables LU to be shown and selected from List of Value in GIS Object Configuration window.

IAL view must have been created in order to be be configured as a relation.

Tabs for the business object's related information are added in Object Information dialog.

Procedure: Create new a Relation

  1. Open the GIS Object Configuration window.
  2. Click New.
  3. Add the relevant logical unit.
  4. Open Relations tab and click New.
  5. Add Tab Name, that is the name of the tab that will appear in Object Information dialog.
  6. Add View Name, that is the name of the database view where the related information is retrieved.
  7. Add a value for Where Condition, that is the condition used to to filter data from the database view. Refer to the document About GIS Map for detailed information about conditions.
  8. Save.

Procedure: View data using IAL Views 

  1. Go to Relations tab, press New.
  2. Add Tab Name, that is the name of the tab that will appear in Object Information dialog.
  3. Add View Name, that is the name of the IAL view where the related information is retrieved.
  4. Add a value for Where Condition, that is the condition used to to filter data from the IAL view.
  5. Add schema for the IAL view in View Schema.
  6. Save.
