Connect Repair Code to Part Discrepancy

Explanation

Use this activity to define discrepancy code part and connect repair code to part discrepancy.

Prerequisites

• Discrepancy codes must be defined.
• Repair codes must be defined.
• Structures transferred from VIM or parts which are not in VIM can be used to work with.
• Inventory parts must exist.

System Effects

• Parts are connected to discrepancy codes.
• Repair codes are connected to discrepancy code and discrepancy code parts.

Procedure

Follow these steps, in order to perform this activity:

1. Open the Discrepancy Repair Code window.
2. Populate or query for a discrepancy code.
3. Go to the first table in this window (the table that consists of part information)
4. Create a new record (F5) or select an existing record.
5. Specify part number, site, and any notes.
6. Save.

Optionally you can connect a document text to the record:

1. Select the appropriate record, right-click and then click Document Text.
2. The Document Texts for Part Discrepancy Code dialog box opens.
3. Create a new record.
4. Specify output type and any notes.
5. Save and close the dialog.

7. Go to the second table in this window (the table that consist of repair code information).
8. Create a new record (F5).
9. Specify repair codes and any notes.
10. Save.

Optionally you can connect a document text to the disposition code:

1. Select the appropriate record, right-click and then click Document Text.
2. The Document Texts for Disposition Code dialog box opens.
3. Create a new record.
4. Specify output types and any notes.
5. Save and close the dialog.
