Calculate Average Values for Operational Parameters

Explanation

This activity is used to calculate the average historical and planned values for the operational parameter which is assigned to the serials of the selected part number and maintenance group.

The calculation of the average historical value is based on the last twelve months of operational logging's for all serials.

The calculation of the average planned value is based on the current month. Note: The average planned value is only calculated for the primary releasing operational parameter.

In addition to calculating the average value using this activity, the average value calculation for operational parameters is also carried out by default on the first day of each month through a background job.

Prerequisites

To calculate the average planned value, monthly planned operational values must have been defined on the operational budget. For more information refer to the Enter Operational Budget and/or Adjust Budget per Month activities.
To calculate the average historical value, registered operational logging’s for the last twelve months or less must exist. For more information refer to the Report Operational Logging activity.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the historical average value and the planned average value is calculated for the operational parameter.

Procedure

Open the Maintenance Plan window and query (F3) for the part number and maintenance group to which the required operational parameter is assigned.
Click the Oper. Param. per Maint Group tab.
Select the row that contains the operational parameter on which the calculation is to be performed, right-click and then click Calc Average Value. The average value is calculated.
