Schedule Shop Order(s)

Explanation

This activity is used to calculate the start and finish date of the operations and the shop order, according to the schedule direction. Efficiency, utilization, maximum hours of operations as well as queue time, transport time and so on have been taken into account when scheduling the shop order. If the corresponding site is CBS server enabled, then it will be used to schedule the shop order.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The shop order(s) will be (re)scheduled with the new start and finish dates based on the infinite scheduling or the CBS server logic. If Schedule Direction is set to Forward Scheduling the order will be scheduled from its Earliest Start Date and forward. If Schedule Direction is set to Backwards Scheduling the order will be scheduled backwards from its Need Date.
• Manual scheduling changes done to the operations of the order will be overwritten.
• Operation scheduling done by IFS/Advanced Planning Board will be overwritten.

Procedure

To schedule shop orders using the data view from Shop Order or Disposition Shop Order window: 

1. Open the Shop Order or Disposition Shop Order window and search for the order to schedule.
2. Right-click and then click Schedule Shop Order.

To schedule shop orders using the data view from Shop Orders window: 

1. Open the Shop Orders windowand search for the order(s) to schedule.
2. Right-click and then click Schedule Shop Order.
3. Select Schedule Using Existing Shop Order Settings if you want to base the scheduling on the existing Schedule Direction, Earliest Start Date and Need Date of the shop order(s).
4. Select Forward Schedule From Earliest Start Date and specify an earliest start date if you want to change Schedule Direction to Forward Scheduling and schedule the shop order(s) from this date.
5. Click OK.

To schedule shop orders using the visualization view:

1. Open a visualizer enabled window and query for your site.
2. If the Data View is displayed, click Visualization View on the title bar.
3. Right-click and click Select Visualization. The Select Visualization dialog box is opened.
4. Double-click Machine Load Summary, Machine Load In Standard Hours, Machine Load, Shop Order Machine Load, Shop Order Labor Load, Shop Orders Material Availability Summary or Shop Orders Material Availability.
5. Select the bar/segment representing the shop order(s) you want to schedule. Right-click and select Schedule Shop Orders. The Schedule Shop Order(s) dialog box is opened.
6. Select Schedule Using Existing Shop Order Settings if you want to base the scheduling on the existing Schedule Direction, Earliest Start Date and Need Date of the shop order(s).
7. Select Forward Schedule From Earliest Start Date and specify an earliest start date if you want to change Schedule Direction to Forward Scheduling and schedule the shop order(s) from this date.
8. Click OK.
