Receive Partial Part

Explanation

This activity is used to receive a partial part into inventory from a disassembly shop order. 

Prerequisites

• The Partial Part Receipt Required check box must be selected.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• the system will receive into inventory the part being disassembled from this order as a partial part, and create the normal inventory transactions for accounting and material tracking purposes.
• if it is a serial part, the part serial catalog instance for the serial received will be updated to describe the maintenance level responsible for making the part into a partial part.
• the system will also automatically reserve the partial part to the assembly shop order that reassembles the part, or if the assembly shop orders have not yet been released, the part will be reserved to the appropriate interim assembly order..

Procedure

1. In the Receive MRO Shop Order window, right-click and then click Receive Partial Part.
2. In the Receive Partial Part dialog box, identify the part and the location to receive the part into. Enter a condition code where applicable.
3. Click OK.
