Create MRB Disposition Items
Explanation
Use this activity to enter or edit information for one or more disposition
items associated with a particular Material Review Board (MRB) Case ID. The MRB Disposition details the quantity of material to be
inspected, the suggested action and some explanatory text. When the Disposition
Item is dispositioned, the material may be accepted or scrapped.
A report describing the MRB action taken can be printed by right-clicking on the line or header of the
Disposition
tab in the MRB Case case window. This will list the MRB case, part (including serial, lot/batch, WDR, etc.), site, disposition code, disposition description, quantity and disposition
note. Each disposition is printed on a separate page. The disposition code and
description are printed in a heading with the disposition note and total
quantity. Tracking information is entered on the lines with the quantity per tracked
part. The disposition information can be viewed in an overview window.
Prerequisites
- This activity requires an MRB header.
- The MRB must not have Completed or
Canceled status.
- If there are any inspections for the part that is
going to be dispositioned, they must have been completed.
- A disposition code must have been entered in the
basic data for MRB.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- You can process the identified disposition item(s).
- If you enter a disposition quantity which is
greater than the MRB quantity, a message will be displayed.
- The parts that have been registered as
dispostioned will no longer be controlled by the MRB. These parts can be further
processed from their source (inventory part in stock, purchase order
receipt, or shop order)
