Perform Demand Deviation Analysis
Explanation
This is a background job that will calculate values for
standard deviation for issues in lead time, number of issues in lead time
and average issued quantity on inventory part.
Prerequisites
Lead time factor must be defined in the planning hierarchy.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- The parameters calculated are: Standard Deviation for Issues in Lead Time, Number of Issues in Lead Time, Average Issued Quantity.
- It excludes customer order lines set as abnormal
demand.
- It will include imported daily issues.
- It will inherit transaction history to parts that
replace (supersede) anther inventory part.

Procedure
You can either perform the analysis directly (Procedure A) or schedule the
task as a background job (procedure B).
A. To perform the demand deviation analysis task directly:
- Open the Analyze Inventory Part Demand Deviation dialog
box.
- Enter a value for the Site field or click List to select
one from the List of Values.
- Click OK to complete the operation.
B. To schedule the demand deviation analysis task as a background job:

Click Schedule to open the New Database Task Schedule
window. Set the scheduling parameters as desired and save. Scheduled tasks
can be seen in Scheduled Database Tasks window.
