Move Inventory Part

Explanation

When there is a record in the offline move window that hasn’t been automatically moving the part in inventory – record is in status error – it is possible to manually retry the move inventory part action.

Note that there will be new attempts to execute the move part in error automatically every time there is another new offline move transaction successfully executed that have an impact on the quantity on hand for the offline move transaction in error.

But to manually try to re-execute the move inventory part for a record in error could still be needed when the quantity on hand on from location for the records in error is affected by other flows like for example counting.

Prerequisites

The offline move record must have been created but still not executed a real move in inventory

System Effects

A move inventory part action is triggered manually and if there is a quantity in stock in the from location, a move of the part in inventory should be executed.

Procedure

1. Either query for a record with error or click Populate.
2. Select the line with the desired offline move record.
3. Right-click and then click Move Inventory Parts.
4. If possible there will then be a move the part executed according to the criteria given in the selected record.
