Enter Default Packing Instruction

Explanation

This activity is used to enter a default packing instruction. This task must be performed by a system administrator or an equivalent person.

When entering a default packing instruction, the following combinations of attributes can be entered:

1. Capacity requirement group/packing instruction
2. Part number/packing instruction
3. Part number/site/packing instruction
4. Part number/site/customer/packing instruction
5. Part number/site/customer/delivery address/packing instruction

Prerequisites

• At least one packing instruction must exist.
• A capacity requirement group, part number, site, customer and delivery address must have been defined.

System Effects

• A default packing instruction is defined for a combination of attributes.
• The default packing instruction can be retrieved to the customer order line and used for automatic packing in the customer order shipment process.
