Create New Revision of Maintenance Program

Explanation

This activity is used to create a new revision of a maintenance program. You can create a new revision of a maintenance program that is in any of the valid statuses (i.e., Preliminary, Active or Obsolete).

Note: Only one revision of a maintenance program can be active at any given point in time. If you activate a new revision a message will appear informing you that this will make the previous revision obsolete and you will have the option of canceling the operation.

Procedure

  1. Open the Define Maintenance Program window and query (F3) for the maintenance program for which a new revision is to be created.
  2. Right-click anywhere in the header and then click Create New Revision of Maintenance Program. The Create New Revision assistant will open.
  3. In the New Revision field, enter the new revision.
  4. In the From Old Revision area select the check boxes that indicate the types of data you want copied to the new revision of the maintenance program. Following is a list of the check boxes that can be selected. These check boxes are selected by default and can be cleared if the indicated data is not to be copied to the new revision.
  1. Click Finish.
