Assign Parts to Modification
Explanation
This activity is used to define allowed part numbers for a
modification. Here you may also define if the modification should be performed
at the next visit to the workshop or when the next interval based maintenance is
performed. The modification may be performed at the next visit to the workshop
or when the next interval based maintenance is performed instead of defining a
terminating action interval.
Prerequisites
- Part numbers must be defined.
- A modification must be defined.
- To select a maintenance code for the Next Interval
Maintenance, an
instruction must be defined for the part number and maintenance code, and
the maintenance code has to be set up in a maintenance plan. See
Define
Maintenance Code for more information.
System Effects
- When you define a part number and the Assignment Type
registered on the modification is set to By Serial Range, all part revisions for
serials with the defined part number are automatically created as
assigned part revisions in Define
Modification/Assign Part Revisions.
- If you define a part number and the Assignment Type registered on the modification is set to By Revision All Serials and there exists
only serials of one part
revision, the part revision
is automatically created as an assigned part revision in
Define
Modification/Assign Part Revisions. If there exists serials of more than one part revision, the part
revisions must be manually inserted.
- If you select the Decompliance Allowed check box, the
modification can be decomplied with.
- If you select the Next Visit In Workshop check box, a pending task
is automatically created for each assigned serial as
soon as the modification's Status is changed to Active. When distributing
any kind of task to a work order, the pending task for this modification is automatically
added to the same maintenance order or work order.
- If you enter a maintenance code in the Next
Interval Maintenance field,
a pending task is automatically created for each assigned serial as
soon as the modification's Status is changed to Active. The modification task
is automatically added to the same
maintenance order as the interval based maintenance task when distributing
task to work order.
- If
you select the Last Due Date Trigger Execution check box on the part
number, the latest due date is selected instead of the earliest due
date when the modification task calculation
is run. By default, the earliest due date is selected.
