Modify Routing Template Operation

Explanation

Use this activity to modify a standard template operation. The standard operation information can be either copied or referenced.  If referenced, the standard operation name is part of the routing template operation record and is a candidate for update when the standard operation is updated. If copied, the standard operation name is not part of the routing template operation record, although the standard operation record's values are used to create the record for the routing template operation.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that at least one standard template operation exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system modifies the selected standard template operation.

Modify Standard Operation (on Routing Template)

Procedure

1. Highlight a single existing operation.
2. Right-click, and then click Modify Standard Operation.
3. The operation number is automatically listed in the Modify Standard Operation dialog box.
4. Enter standard operations or click List of Values to select from available standard operations.
5. Click Copy to copy values from the existing operation. Click Reference to reference the standard operation. If you select Reference, you can choose to have the changes propagated.
6. Click OK.
