Use this activity to change the status of a structure or routing alternative to Buildable. A structure or routing alternative in Buildable status is completely visible in the system. A structure alternative in Buildable status is used for generating allocations and demands. A routing alternative in Buildable status is used for generating order operations and load. They are both used for planning and costing purposes. You can change the status of the structure or routing alternative to Obsolete. If the Structure Update attribute on the site in Site/Manufacturing is set to Restricted, the structure or routing alternative and its components or operations cannot be modified at this status. If the Structure Update attribute is set to Enhanced, you can modify the structure and routing alternative the same as you would for the Tentative and Plannable statuses.
This activity requires that the structure or routing alternative must be in Tentative, Plannable, or Obsolete status. No other structure revisions may be valid for the same effectivity range as the selected revision.
As a result of this activity, the system changes the status of the structure or routing alternative to Buildable. The product status in Inventory Part/Revisions is set to In Effect.
