Define Distribution List Configuration

Explanation

This activity is used to define configurations which will determine how notifications should be issued for health and safety related incidents registered in the Incident window. The conditions specified in the distribution list configuration will be used as criteria to determine who should be notified when a registered incident fulfills the criteria.

In order to perform this activity, the following information used for registering incidents should already be defined in the system;

As a result of this activity, all the values linked to each condition in the dedicated tabs of the Distribution List Configuration window will be summarized and displayed in the Overview tab of the same window.

Procedure

  1. Open the Distribution List Configuration window and create a new record.
  2. Enter an identifier and description for the configuration in the Configuration ID and Configuration Name fields.
  3. Save the information.
     
  4. Go to the Company tab and create a new record.
  5. In the Company ID field, specify the company in which incidents are required be registered.
  6. Create new records to connect more companies to the configuration.
  7. Save the information.
     
  8. Go to the Project tab and create a new record.
  9. In the Project ID field, specify the project to which incidents should be registered.
  10. Create new records to connect more projects to the configuration.
  11. Save the information
     
  12. Go to the Incident Status tab and create a new record.
  13. In the Status field, specify which status the incident record is required to have in order to qualify for the configuration.
  14. Create new records to connect more status values to the configuration.
  15. Save the information
     
  16. Go to the Severity Level tab and create a new record.
  17. In the Severity Level field, specify the severity options to which incidents should be registered.
  18. Create new records to connect more severity options to the configuration.
  19. Save the information
     
  20. Go to the Location/Sub Location tab.
  21. Create a new record in the top part of the table to connect location ID's.
  22. In the Location ID field, specify the location for which incidents should be registered.
  23. Create a new record in the bottom part of the table to connect sub location ID's.
  24. In the Sub Location ID field, specify the sub location for which incidents should be registered.
  25. Create new records to connect more locations and sub locations to the configuration.
  26. Save the information.
