Analyze Reported Balances

Explanation

This activity is used to analyze balances from the reporting and adjustment journals that are to be used in the Group Consolidation process.

Procedure

To analyze reported balances:

  1. Open the Reported Balance Analysis window and search for the balances you want to view. The Zoom-in dialog box will open.
  2. Select the relevant check boxes in the Zoom-in dialog box to define the level of detail with which the consolidated balances should be displayed, and click OK.
  3. If you want to redefine how the balances should be displayed, select a row in the Reported Balance Analysis window and click Zoom-in. If not, repeat steps 1-2.
  4. If you want to view the journal rows which are the source of the balance, select the balance, right-click and then click Journal Rows Analysis to open the Journal Rows Analysis window.
  5. If you want to view the original balances in the company which reported them, select the balance, right-click and then click GL/IL Balance Analysis to open either the GL Balance Analysis or IL Balance Analysis window. The window which opens depends on the ledger selected for the reporting entity in the Reporting Entities window. Note that the GL Balance Analysis window will open in the company represented by the reporting entity, but you have to search for the required balances.
