Connect Customer Price Group to Customer

Explanation

Use this activity to link a customer price group to a specific customer. This task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person. Each customer price group can be linked to one or more sales price groups, each of which can be linked to one or more sales price lists. By linking a customer price group to the customer, this can simplify the updating of price lists for many customers at the same time. 

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• Customer price groups must have been created in the customer price group window.
• A customer record must have been entered.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The customer is connected to a customer price group.
• If any changes are made to price lists linked to the customer price groups, these changes will be reflected for all customers in the price group.

Procedure

1. Open the Customer window, then click the Order tab.
2. In the Cust Price Grp field of the Order/General tab, enter a customer price group either by entering the short code or by using the List of Values to select from available options. The description will be filled in automatically.
3. Save the entered data.
