Explanation

Use this activity to enter and maintain information, e.g., language or country, about manufacturers of parts. This optional task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• The ID of the manufacturer must be defined.
• ISO language and country codes must be defined.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• Manufacturer information appears in the Part and Manufacturers windows.
• When the approval code is changed, the manufacturer's history information is updated.

Procedure

To perform this activity, follow these steps:

1. Open the Manufacturers window.
2. Query for the manufacturer whose default language or country codes you wish to enter or change.
3. To change the description of the manufacturer, use the Name field.
4. To enter or change the association number, use the Association No field.
5. In the Default Language field, select a language from the List of Values.
6. In the Country field, select a country from the List of Values.
7. Save the changes. The Creation Date field is populated.
8. To view details about the manufacturer, right-click on the manufacturer and then click Details.
