Modify Additional Investment

Explanation

This activity is used to make changes to the already initiated additional investment transactions and to activate them. Two types of additional investment transactions are initiated as follows:

• Additional investment transactions initiated within IFS\Fixed Assets - These type of additional investment transactions are created with the object transaction type Add Investment. The voucher (Function group A) related to the additional investment is created when transactions are created related to this object transaction.
• Additional investment transactions initiated outside IFS\Fixed Assets - E.g., These transactions could be initiated from Manual Supplier Invoice, Manual Voucher, etc. These types of additional investment transactions are created with the object transaction type Ext Add Investment.

Prerequisites

The vouchers with information related to additional investments must be updated to the general ledger in order to activate additional investment transactions with object transaction type Ext Add Investment.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a voucher is created and transferred to the hold table in IFS\Accounting Rules for the additional investment transactions initiated within IFS\Fixed Assets. Counter-posting of the additional investment is created according to the posting type FAP14, FAP29, Add Investment- Counter Posting. This activity also results in creating object transactions.

For the additional investment transactions initiated outside IFS\Fixed Assets, the status will be changed to Ready for the object transactions that have been already created.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to initiate additional investments within IFS\Fixed Assets:

1. Open the Add Investment - Progress window. The information displayed is a result of prior selections and books per objects selected in the Change Object Value window and, is based on the information entered in the Add Investment dialog.
2. Modify the Event Date and Retroactive Date fields if required.
3. Select the rows that you require to perform additional investment and right click and click Create Transactions to create and post the vouchers.

Use the following procedure to initiate additional investment outside IFS\Fixed Assets:

1. Open the Add Investment - Progress window. The information displayed, is the result of a voucher(s) connected to an object ID and an acquisition account that is updated to the general ledger. 
2. Modify the Event Date and Retroactive Date fields if required.
3. Select the rows that you require to perform additional investment and Right click and click Activate to activate additional investment transactions.
