Cancel Proposal

Explanation

This activity is used to cancel a depreciation proposal. Once a proposal is cancelled, you can delete it or retain it with the
Cancelled status.

Prerequisites

Before the proposal is canceled, the following must have been completed:

System Effects

As a result of this activity the depreciation calculated by the proposal will be rolled back based on the following conditions.
Condition System Effect
If the proposal is cancelled but not deleted The status of the depreciation proposal is changed to Cancelled and it will no longer be possible to modify or post the depreciation proposal. However, it will be possible to view the proposal and the connected depreciation proposal log (if any exists for the proposal).
If the proposal is cancelled and deleted The depreciation proposal will be removed and no longer available to be viewed from Depreciation Proposal Overview or Depreciation Proposal window.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to cancel the proposal:

  1. Open Depreciation Proposal Overview window and query for the depreciation proposal that you want to cancel.
  2. Select the record that you queried for, right click and click Cancel Depreciation Proposal.
  3. If you want to delete the proposal, select the record again, right-click and then click Delete Depreciation Proposal. If a depreciation proposal log is connected to the proposal, a message will appear asking you whether the depreciation proposal log also should be deleted. Click Yes or No as applicable.
