Enter Export Control in Part Catalog

Explanation

This activity is used to create, modify and view export control. The export control is used to identify how the part is export-controlled.

Prerequisites

The part catalog record must have been entered and saved.

System Effects

The export controlled option is defined for the part.

Procedure

1. Open the Part window.
2. Click the Export Control tab.
3. Create a new record.
4. Select the appropriate export controlled option in the Export Controlled list.
5. Optionally, enter a monetary license value to identify the license value per unit expressed in the selected currency.
6. If a monetary license value is entered, then the currency must be defined.
7. Optionally, enter a note by double-clicking the Note field. A text phrase editor appears that enables the user to view the entire text and to select predefined phrases as entered in the Document Text Administration/Phrases tab.
8. Save the changes.
