Enter Access Rights Restrictions

Explanation

This activity is used to create, modify and view access rights that should apply for this export license and/or on export controlled documents to which this license is connected.

Procedure

  1. Open the Export License window.
  2. Click the Access Rights tab.
  3. Select New (F5).
  4. Enter the Grant Order that the user should be validated in,  and the type of access rights to be given when matched.
  5. Enter or select an access type, to identify the type of ID:
  6. Access type: To select an access group that identifies one or more users.
  7. Access ID: To select an ID for the selected access type, e.g. a Site or %-sign, a user or a user group.
  8. Optionally, select the Read License check box to grant view rights to this license, else the identified ID will not even see this license.
  9. Optionally, select the Edit License check box to grant full rights to this license, e.g. view and edit.
    Note: When selecting edit license also the Read License must be selected.
  10. Optionally, select the View Document to grant view rights to export controlled document(s) to which this license is connected, else the identified user will not have access to such document.
  11. Optionally, select the Read Document to grant view and read rights.
    Note: When selecting read document also the View Document must be selected.
  12. Optionally, select Administrate Document to grant view, read and administrator rights.
    Note: When selecting Administrate Document  also the read document must be selected.
  13. Optionally, enter a note, by double-clicking the Note field which will open a text phrase editor that enables the user to view the entire text and, to select predefined phrases as entered in the Document Text Administration/Phrases tab.
  14. Save the changes.

Access Rights to the Export License

  1. The user ID is the same as that in the Modified By in the header; Full Access.
  2. Note: The modified by is updated when saving a modification made in the export license header. Even user change any data in Export License tabs (Coverage, Site, Supplier, Customer, etc), It will update the Modified and Modified By fields in header.
  3. The user has the Export License Management Administrator role; Full Access.
  4. The user belongs to an identified user site; Access grants due to the settings (where a % sign indicates any site).
  5. The user is identified as a User; Access grants due to the settings.
  6. The user is identified by an Access Group; Access grants due to the settings.
  7. Access Denied.

Access Rights to Documents

When a document in the Export Control tab on the Document Revision window is selected as Export-Controlled then the access rights identified by export license(s) connected to this document with the below mentioned access rules, and the rights identified on the Document Revision/Access tab are ignored. You need to be a document administrator to modify the check boxes, and where the export controlled indicates the document access is granted by connected export license(s) and the access due to latest revision indicates that the document creator is the one creating the last revision and validating grants given by export license objects connected to the latest revision, while clearing this information is taken from the selected revision.

  1. The user is the document creator; Full Access.
  2. The user has the Documentation Management Administrator role; Full Access.
  3. The user is not identified as Documentation Access on the Export License Basic Data/Authorization tab; Access Denied.
  4. There are no connected export license objects; Access Denied.
  5. The access is validated against each connected export license object:
    1. The user belongs to an identified user site; Access grants due to the settings (where a % sign indicates any site).
    2. The user is identified as a User; Access grants due to the settings.
    3. The user is identified by an Access Group; Access grants due to the settings.
    4. None of the above, access denied.
