Update Employee Performance Summary

Explanation

This activity is used to update the employee's performance result in the Performance Summary window. You can update the performance summary for a period (performance period) or you can individually update the performance summary for each employee.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, the employee's objectives, general performance criteria should be in the required status. That is, the final status defined for objectives and general performance criteria.

Procedure

Perform the following procedure to update the performance summary of all employees who have objectives connected to a selected period;

  1. Open the Performance Periods window.
  2. Populate the window with available performance periods.
  3. Select the required period in the Performance Period field.
  4. Right-click and click Update Performance Appraisal Summary to trigger the calculation of ratings given to your employees. Note that objectives with a status for which the Exclude from Final Result is selected in the Performance Status  window will not be considered for the result.
  5. Open the Performance Summary window and populate the information.
  6. The All Objectives Included check box is selected for employees who have all objectives in the final status. You can enter further information in the Conclusion field.
  7. Save the information.

Perform the following procedure to update the performance summary of an individual employee;

  1. Open the Employee Objectives and Activities window.
  2. Enter the employee in the Employee ID field. Search or populate to find the required employee.
  3. Right-click and click Update Performance Appraisal Summary to trigger the calculation of ratings given to your employee. Note that objectives with a status for which the Exclude from Final Result is selected in the Performance Status window will not be considered for the result.
  4. Open the Performance Summary window and populate the information.
  5. The All Objectives Included check box is selected for employees who have all objectives in the final status. You can enter further information in the Conclusion field.
  6. Save the information.

    Note: The All Objectives Included check box will be selected if all the objectives assigned to the employee have been considered for the calculation.
