Assign Activities to Employee

Explanation

This activity is used to register and modify the activities connected to an employee objective. Activities are separate tasks that employees need to perform and complete in order to meet the employee objective.

E.g.: Key performance indicators (KPIs) for employees can be defined as activities. These key performance indicators will show employee's progress towards strategic goals for a department, discipline, professional area or company operation. Setting periods to review activities helps in managing employee performance and assuring that the employee development is on time.

Prerequisites

In order to register activities for employees, objectives are required to be registered in the system.

Procedure

  1. Open the Employee Activities window.
  2. Create a new record to define an activity for an objective.
  3. In the Employee ID field, specify the ID of the employee for whom you want to register the activity. Alternatively, you can select the ID from the list of values.
  4. In the Performance Period field, select the period of time for which you want to register the activity.
  5. Specify the ID of the objective to which you want to create activities in the Objective ID field. You can select an objective already connected to the employee using the list of values.
  6. Enter an activity ID and description in the respective fields, alternatively you can select a predefined activity defined for the respective objective using the list of values.
  7. In the Status field, specify the current activity status. The status can also be selected from the list of values.
  8. Specify the activity's overall importance in the Activity Weight field. Note that the sum of all activities should be 100.
  9. Specify the Course ID if there is a course that supports to fulfill the activity. 
  10. In the Target field, you can specify the required result value for the activity.
  11. Select the ID of the person responsible for performance of the activity in the Responsible for Activity field.
  12. Save the information.
