Define Employment Duration Class

Explanation

This activity is used to create an employment duration class. Business intelligence applications can use it as a seniority based data filter. The duration class consists of duration groups. When an employment duration class is selected in business intelligence, each of duration groups will be a selectable filtering option, displaying only employees with certain length of employment.

For example, if employees receive a salary bonus based on their seniority, an employment duration class can be created to filter employee groups eligible for certain bonuses. Every group could be named after a bonus, and required number of years would be defined in Start Value and End Value fields.
